And more than 10,000 years ago, people began to realize that grabbing those fish out of the ocean was an easy way to get some food. Even chickens are kind of crazy and even today in captivity so imagine being a wild hunter thousands and thousands of years ago trying to provide for your family.
In terms of the types of fishing that there are available there are multiple ways about which to go through the fishing scenario and all of these need to be considered when you are looking to go fishing. One of the most popular ways to go fishing back in the day and away this still popular today, particularly if you're in a Shakespeare play its hand fishing. Using only your hands, hand fishing is still very popular in the British Isles and is used to catch trout, lobster, oysters, and in the South and Midwest United States, people do in illegal activity called stump fishing where you hold the bait in your hand and wait for a large catfish to eat it and then you pull them out of the water with them on your arm.

Using a mesh net, today, typically made of nylon, people would take a net and collect their fish that way. Similar to a net fishing dredging is the practice of dragging a net by a tow boat along the ocean floor to collect scallops and oysters. Many environmentalists have turned away this type of fishing just due to the damage to the ocean floor and it has largely been replaced by scuba diving or other types of fishing.
Another popular type of fishing in more northern climates is ice fishing. Ice fishing is me a card of catching fish with lines and hooks through an opening in the ice on a frozen body of water. You should always be careful to make sure that the body of water is fully frozen over before you engage in separate fishing and if you're not familiar with the area you should make sure that you're with someone who is.
These are just a few of the many different types of fishing that are available for use in our oceans and lakes but you should make sure that the type of fishing you are about to engage in a suitable for where you're going and that you are doing it in the correct manner. You don't ever want to be victim to something that everyone else has been victim to before it just because you didn't ask around about it for the type of fishing you're doing, on the area you’re doing the fishing.
